In Iqaluit, where costs are high, supply is limited, and construction is complex, many residents remain without access to safe, stable housing. For younger populations in particular, affordability continues to erode, while the demand for supportive and transitional housing grows. Uquutaq Society is working to change that. The single-room units are paired with shared amenities including a communal kitchen, laundry facilities, multi-use programming spaces, and staff offices, ensuring residents have access to both independence and on-site support.
