Matthews Hall, dans le but de cr\u00e9er un environnement plus accueillant et adaptable pour sa facult\u00e9 de sant\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9e et de kin\u00e9siologie. Les installations existantes, caract\u00e9ris\u00e9es par leur apparence clinique et d\u00e9su\u00e8te, n\u00e9cessitaient une transformation pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins contemporains d&rsquo;\u00e9ducation et de recherche. Reconnaissant le potentiel d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer la fonctionnalit\u00e9 et l&rsquo;attrait esth\u00e9tique, l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 envisageait un espace qui inspirerait autant les \u00e9tudiants que le corps professoral, tout en accommodant les exigences diverses de l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation moderne en sciences de la sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:72px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-gray-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2447bf3008a2404a474a611688876464\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:700\">R\u00e9ponse<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La r\u00e9novation de 2 400 pi\u00b2 du B.C. Matthews Hall a transform\u00e9 le laboratoire de sant\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9e en espaces dynamiques et flexibles qui remettent en question les notions traditionnelles des laboratoires de recherche et d&rsquo;enseignement. La s\u00e9lection de couleurs de peinture d&rsquo;accent vibrantes pour les murs et plafonds cr\u00e9e un espace de recherche qui est accueillant, engageant et diff\u00e9rent d&rsquo;un environnement de recherche typique. Le projet comprenait la conversion d&rsquo;une salle de classe et d&rsquo;une salle de stockage en un laboratoire d&rsquo;enseignement lumineux, et la r\u00e9invention d&rsquo;un laboratoire de biochimie, d&rsquo;un bureau et d&rsquo;un laboratoire d&rsquo;enseignement en un espace polyvalent pour les tests physiques. Les am\u00e9liorations aux syst\u00e8mes du b\u00e2timent comprenaient la mise \u00e0 niveau des vannes de contr\u00f4le pneumatiques existantes avec de nouvelles vannes de contr\u00f4le num\u00e9riques et l&rsquo;installation d&rsquo;une nouvelle unit\u00e9 terminale de syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;automatisation du b\u00e2timent (SAB) et l&rsquo;int\u00e9gration n\u00e9cessaire avec le syst\u00e8me Siemens existant.
