mcCallumSather Celebrates Kanika Kaushal’s Advancement to Senior Professional

mcCallumSather is excited to share that Kanika Kaushal, has advanced to the position of Senior Professional, Project Manager after earning her place as a recognized professional member with the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals

“When I moved to Toronto from New Delhi, India in 2019, I took this move as an opportunity to start my professional journey in a field that I was always passionate about – Heritage and Conservation. This journey has been so special and I am grateful for the learnings and support I have received,” wrote Kanika in a recent LinkedIn Post about the news. 

Working as a Heritage Lead, Kanika acts as a liaison between the City and the client, seeking the most appropriate conservation strategies for compatible, sustainable development. She is regularly involved in mcCallumSather led projects with heritage scope, including high profile projects such as The Tivoli Theatre and 98 James. She has also become a trusted resources for partner firms, including projects currently ongoing with Edge Architects and AECOM. 

She joins Drew Hauser as the second full CAHP member on mcCallumSather’s Conservation + Heritage design team. They are known for diligent research essential to preserve and protect the distinctive characteristics of critical cultural assets. This is coupled with the inventiveness required to draw meaningful connections between the past and our modern life, allowing buildings to remain relevant well into the future through sustainable restoration or creative adaptive re-use.
