On a dynamic and well used recreation site in downtown Hamilton, Bennetto Recreation Centre lacked visibility and prominence.  We worked closely with the City of Hamilton to develop an engaging and open plan concept for the site and redevelop the site to address these concerns.

The pool and pool house design was our focus. We used the principles of natural surveillance to increase visibility, into and out of the building. We added a new glazed entrance and added a generous number of windows to the existing exterior. The result is a welcoming new environment.

The impact was seen immediately. The community use of the pool and facility increased significantly after it was refurbished.
