Lynden Library

The Lynden Library was first established in 1966. The Hamilton Public Library retained our team as Prime/Architectural Consultant to lead the initial feasibility study for this project, as well as for the planning and design of the entire new facility including the programming, design development, shelving, layout, total building design and the site plan.

The library features cheerful, multi-coloured glass windows in the children’s department that can be seen from every corner of the building. The library boasts a 22 ft raised ceiling in the centre of the building, as well as an abundance of natural light streaming in from its many windows and open concept design.

New and improved service features include improved accessibility, such as with the barrier-free washrooms and doors. Additional features include express checkouts, a new computer-equipped teen area, dedicated individual study spaces, dedicated group study spaces, and significant display space. Serving as a focal gathering place for the community, Lynden Library is an integral member of the community.
