Joyce Centre Shows Green-Building Ambitions Can Pay Off

As we swelter through the dog days of summer in much of Canada, energy demand is peaking in many places across the country, as it has for years. And much of that energy is being used to cool big buildings.
Commercial and institutional buildings have traditionally consumed huge amounts of power from our mostly centralized electrical system. A lot of progress has been made in recent years to improve efficiency and energy conservation but much more can, and must be, done.
